Context
Social and environmental responsibility is a major topic for Air Transat. For the company, sustainable tourism means respect and commitment to its country of origin – Canada – and the destinations it serves. It is thus committed to carrying out solidarity actions, in particular with the Association « Petits Princes » on the French market.
Our strategic approach
On December 7, 2017, Air Transat – in partnership with the ADP group – allowed 45 children from the Petits Princes association to meet Santa Claus on board an Airbus of the company, specially chartered for the occasion.
Welcomed by several elves and provided with their boarding pass to the North Pole, little princes and princesses headed for the various events that awaited them at 9:00 am: photobooth, make-up, balloon carving, throwing games, snowball fights….
After a hectic wait, it is time to take a seat on board the Airbus to meet Santa Claus. In the middle of the flight, all the children and their families as well as the elves sing when the captain with a Quebec accent draws the attention of the audience: a stardust and Santa Claus would have been seen! In the end, he puts his sleigh on the plane and leaves the pilot’s cabin: joy and surprise are visible on the faces of young and old alike. Santa Claus distributes gifts and hugs and makes sure to have a little note for each child. Everyone left in the early afternoon with bright eyes, a vibrant heart and memories in their heads.

ARTICLE ONZE TOURISME
Air Transat’s commitment to this type of solidarity commitment is quite remarkable and fits perfectly into its DNA: the sharing of its values such as respect, kindness, attention and trust. Article Onze wanted to get involved in this project, well beyond its missions, and thus participate in the success of this beautiful operation. The announcement of this event was perfectly well received by the press, which proves the very good consistency between the image the company wishes to convey and the actions it carries out.
